However, he is not notably trying to influence anybody else into taking a similar stance on the issue. He is simply arguing his own position and, at the same time, is willing to accept any punishment that may come his way because of his perceptions. On the other hand, his refusal to sign the Act of Succession or the Act of Supremacy can also be seen as an act of political martyrdom, especially since Thomas More was aware of the dangers that would have potentially awaited him following this alternative. The ability to go beyond any obstacle simply to uphold the values in which he believed in also made him a martyr.

However, as previously shown, the most important issue worth pointing out was that, eventually, Thomas More was fighting for his own beliefs rather than, as a man of conviction, as one trying to implement these changes with other people in society. His judgment was...
